Inauguration of an Education Support Project by the Minister of Education in Bamyan Province
Honorable Alhaj Mawlawi Habibullah Agha, Minister of Education, who has traveled to Bamyan Province on an official visit, inaugurated an education support project funded by a partner organization in the amount of USD 666,298 during a meeting attended by officials, education authorities, religious scholars, and representatives of the people of Bamyan.
This support project includes the construction of three community-based schools, the establishment of 52 early childhood education classes, 247 remedial classes, 185 catch-up classes, 22 long-term educational support programs, the distribution of stationery under the School 2030 program, and support for 154 public schools across the province.
In his remarks, the Honorable Minister of Education emphasized the key role of education in the progress of society, stating: “Learning modern sciences alongside religious studies is today one of the fundamental and undeniable needs of our society.”
Addressing education officials and teachers, he said: “Do not spare any effort in serving the Islamic society and nurturing the future generation of the country. You are the architects of the future of this land, and your responsibility toward the children of this nation is very great and valuable.”
The Minister of Education also pledged that the Ministry, in cooperation with national and international charitable organizations, will continue to support development programs in deprived and remote areas.
