The new academic year 1405 in the cold-region provinces of the country officially commenced through special ceremonies.
The new academic year 1405 was formally inaugurated in the presence of the respected leadership of the Ministry of Education, high ranking officials, a number of esteemed members of the cabinet of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, guests, religious scholars, professors and teachers, students of religious institutions, school students, and education personnel.
The ceremony, which was held in the hall of Amani High School, began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an. Subsequently, Sheikh Mohammad Tawos Tariq, Director General of the Office of the Ministry of Education, delivered remarks welcoming the attendees and expressing his gratitude for their participation.
Then, Alhaj Mawlawi Sibhgatullah Wasel, Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration of the Ministry of Education, spoke about the achievements of the past year, stating: “The curriculum for grades one to six has been developed and is currently under printing, and during the past year, a total of 800 school buildings have been renovated and reconstructed.”
Furthermore, during the ceremony, officials highlighted matters such as the continuation of efforts to simplify administrative procedures, the completion of educational construction and renovation projects across the country, the provision of educational facilities, and the balanced development of education, particularly in provinces and remote areas.
In continuation of the event, respected figures including Alhaj Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Administrative Deputy of the Prime Minister; Sheikh Noorul Haq Anwar, Head of the Administrative Office; and Sheikh Khairullah Khairkhah, Minister of Information and Culture, each spoke about the importance and benefits of knowledge in the development and progress of the country and the welfare of society, and praised the achievements and performance of the Ministry over the past year.
During the program, student groups from religious schools and general schools performed anthems and recited poems in praise of knowledge and patriotic themes.
Later, Mawlawi Aziz Ahmad Rayan, Senior Advisor to the Ministry of Education, read out the Ministry’s official statement on the occasion of the new academic year.
The ceremony concluded with a closing prayer delivered by Alhaj Mawlawi Karamatullah Akhundzada, Deputy Minister for Islamic Education of the Ministry of Education.
It is noteworthy that ceremonies marking the beginning of the new academic year were held in all cold-region provinces of the country.
